Fall Cookies

Fall Cookies

Sugar Cookies for Great Teeth!

Today my mom started her new job as the Dental Hygienist in a new office. To celebrate this promotion, I made her some cookies in the shape of teeth and tooth brushes. I also experimented with the flavoring. I added some pumpkin pie spice and WOW!!! YUMMY!!!! just a subtle hint of fall. I will be posting a price list tomorrow and also starting my Etsy page this weekend. This is really an awesome and yummy alternative to cake. No cutting, serving, and throwing away wasted cake.

Sweet Celebration!

My mom is a pretty awesome dental hygienist. I have no idea why someone would want to stick their hands in someone else's mouth, but I am glad that people like my mom do. Anyway, after looking for a new job to completely fill out her schedule, she finally got an amazing offer! I am so proud of her and how she never gives up on what she really wants. She is really an inspiration to me. To celebrate her new position I am making her some cookies of course- but not just any cookies. The cookies will be tooth and toothbrush shaped. I am also playing around with the flavoring of the sugar dough. I have decided to add some pumpkin pie spice to give it some fall/holiday flavor. I will post pics of the finished cookies hopefully tonight. YAY!!!

It's officially started :)

I am so excited I can hardly speak! Well, the fact that I have lost my voice adds to that too. I finally made some business cards and I sent out my first shipment of cookies to my very good friend Jerm. He is helping spread the word about my new passion! I trying to figure out how to add an ordering section here on the blog. Maybe I will create an Etsy page and link it here. Stay tuned to find out. Thanks a million for all of your support and please tell your friends! Cookies are a great alternative to cake; but I can make those too!

A new Day a New, but familiar name

I was driving in my car last week and I was feeling a bit sentimental. I was thinking about all of the fun times that I had in college and my sorority, Tau Beta Sigma. For those of you that may not know, that is the band sorority that helps with the needs of the college band. One day when the sisters were singing out one of our chants that spells the letters, T-A-U-B-E-T-A-S-I-G-M-A TAU BETA SIGMA, our brother fraternity, always looking for and making jokes sang out "T-O-B-A-K-E-C-O-O-K-I-E TO BAKE A COOKIE". This memory brought me to a major aha moment and I thought that is the most perfect name for the business, or as Ryan calls it "my hobby".

Ryan's company, FARO technologies, celebrates their customer service department every year during the first week of October. This year, I decided to make them some super yummy sugar cookies inspired by their company logo and the Disney film, The Incredibles. Since they save the world one customer at a time, they received a super hero rubber duckie and a hand decorated, individually wrapped cookie.

E's Eats

And so it begins. Lately, the Universe has been trying to tell me something and I keep hearing the same message- "Do what you love". Ever since I was about 10 years old, I have loved to bake. And it didn't really matter what it was was; cookies, cake, brownies, pie.

after teaching for close to 10 years, putting my hand in at online education, and realizing that I have a strong ethical objection to the way that system works, I am going to throw myself into my baking. I love that I can make ANYTHING and get really creative and people are happy. Watching people enjoy my creations is so incredible.

So here it goes-
